We are committed to creating a platform that makes the lives of both server owners and players better from day one. Our focus is on providing high-end features and the best possible free service while we all wait for the world of Hytale to arrive. We believe in providing a product that users actually enjoy using, and while we will eventually need to find sustainable ways to keep this platform growing, we pledge that any future monetization will never negatively impact our core users.
1. No Sponsored Slots. Ever.
We believe that "Pay-to-Win" ranking systems are not in the best interest of the community. In many traditional server lists, the top spots are permanently occupied by the richest servers or those willing to spend thousands on advertising.
By banning sponsored slots, we ensure that a server’s position is earned, not bought. This protects players from being funneled to mediocre servers just because they have a large marketing budget, and it protects owners from being forced into expensive bidding wars just to be seen.
2. Equal Opportunity for New Servers.
Innovation in Hytale will come from small, passionate teams with new ideas. We are committed to supporting the growth of smaller and newer servers by ensuring they have an equal chance to be discovered. Our discovery algorithms will be designed to highlight rising stars, not just established giants, giving every creator a platform to build their community from zero.
3. Modern, Community-Driven Metrics.
While we currently use a standard voting mechanism to rank servers, we know that votes alone don't always tell the full story of quality. We are actively developing ways to incorporate more meaningful data into our rankings.
In the future, we will look at metrics like player retention (bounce rates), verified community reviews, and uptime consistency. Any changes to how we rank servers will be discussed with the community first to ensure they are fair and effective.
4. Built for the Players.
At the end of the day, a server list exists for the players. We promise to keep our UI clean, our search tools powerful, and our platform free of the intrusive ads and pop-ups that plague other directories. We want your journey from "finding a server" to "playing Hytale" to be as seamless as possible.
